Nominations sought for UNL 'Fulfilling the Dream' awards

UNL seeks nominations for the 2012 Chancellor's "Fulfilling the Dream" awards. The university remains committed to diversity and the ideals espoused by Rev. Martin Luther King Jr., and the award provides a platform to celebrate and recognize contemporary leaders who are role models both on and off-campus. Nominations are encouraged and may be submitted by all members of the university and the community at large. Deadline is Dec. 16.

The award was established in 1997 to honor individuals who have contributed to the 1) UNL community; or 2) the wider Lincoln community, by their exemplary action in promoting the goals and vision of Rev. King. The awards are presented each January during ceremonies at the university's celebration of the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday. The 2012 presentation will be Jan. 16.
