Business students initiate new ethics code

Wall Street, Fortune 500 companies and businesses across the world continually discuss the importance of ethics in business. A group of University of Nebraska-Lincoln College of Business Administration students decided to stop talking and start doing, writing a new student ethics code.

"The Student Advisory Board initiated the idea of a new honor code for CBA students. They wanted it to be something our students could rally around that would give them an advantage in the job market," said Janice Lawrence, associate professor of accountancy and director of the college's business ethics program. Students plan an ethics code launch event beginning at 3:30 p.m. Feb. 14 in the Lied Center for Performing Arts at UNL. Read more about this ethics code in Today@UNL.
