Nominations sought for 'Fulfilling the Dream' awards

UNL seeks nominations for the 2013 Chancellor's "Fulfilling the Dream" Award. The award provides a platform to celebrate and recognize contemporary leaders — both on and off campus — who are committed to diversity and the ideals espoused by Martin Luther King Jr. Nominations may be submitted by all members of the university and the community at large.

The award was established in 1997 to honor individuals who have contributed to the UNL community or the wider Lincoln community by their exemplary action in promoting the goals and vision of King. The awards are presented each January during ceremonies at UNL's celebration of the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday. The 2013 presentation will be Jan. 22. Benefits

NUFlex open enrollment continues

NUFlex open enrollment, the annual period for university employees to enroll in or make changes to University of Nebraska benefits plans, runs through Dec. 7.

For the fifth time in seven years, healthcare premiums for medical and dental benefits will not increase in 2013 for full-time employees. That good news extends to deductibles and co-pays, which also will not increase. Read more about enrollment in Today@UNL.

responsive design

The Internet and Interactive Media group of University Communications and Information Services has concluded the first phase in its effort to provide full support to all devices - desktops, laptops, smartphones and tablets - by implementing a suite of web technologies collectively known as 'responsive design.' This week, the internal and external homepages were re-launched as 'responsive' designs.

You can see the effects of responsive design in your desktop browser by simply re-sizing your browser window (the page will reformat as the window is narrowed), or by viewing on your tablet or smartphone. Please use the 'feedback' links at the bottom of the page if you would like to let us know of any issues. Thank you.
