Master plan open houses begin today
Refined UNL Campus and Landscape Master Plan concepts will be presented today during the first of two open house sessions. The Nov. 26 session is in the Nebraska Union, while the Nov. 27 open house is at the East Union. Both are 3:30 to 5:30 p.m.
During the open houses, representatives from Sasaki Associates will present a single refined idea for the new UNL Campus and Landscape Master Plan. The presentations will also include smaller options that could fit into the refined plans. Read more about these open houses in Today@UNL.
Libraries now accepting reserve requests for spring semester
UNL Libraries offers faculty and graduate assistants the opportunity to put library books, journal articles, and other materials, as well as personal copies of books, on reserve and make them available to students. The Reserves Service is available at Love Library, C.Y. Thompson Library and the other branch libraries. Reserve requests will be processed in the order they are received.
Books can be physically put on reserve and made available in City and East campus libraries. You can request books from the UNL libraries to be placed on reserve by using the new electronic reserve form. Read more about reserve requests in Today@UNL.
UNL Math Day awards $34K to high school students
Nearly 1,400 students from 97 high schools across the state participated in UNL's 23rd annual Math Day on Nov. 15 while top performers walked away with a share of $34,000 in UNL scholarships. The event, held each year since 1990, is designed to spark high school students' interest in math, expose them to UNL's mathematical sciences program, and encourage them to pursue mathematics or mathematics-based science as a career.
Omaha Central's Marika Svolos claimed the top prize in the day's scholarship competition — an $8,000 award to attend UNL. Winners in the team competition included Lincoln East in Class A, Elkhorn in Class B, Omaha Brownell-Talbot in Class C and Sargent in Class D. Read more about these awards in Today@UNL.

UNL.edu now formatted for all devices

The Internet and Interactive Media group of University Communications and Information Services has concluded the first phase in its effort to provide full support to all devices - desktops, laptops, smartphones and tablets - by implementing a suite of web technologies collectively known as 'responsive design.' This week, the internal and external homepages were re-launched as 'responsive' designs.
You can see the effects of responsive design in your desktop browser by simply re-sizing your browser window (the page will reformat as the window is narrowed), or by viewing on your tablet or smartphone. Please use the 'feedback' links at the bottom of the page if you would like to let us know of any issues. Thank you.
