photo shoot

Photo shoot casting for student recruitment

University Communications and the Office of Admissions are working together to update the photos used in national marketing efforts, and faculty and staff can encourage students to be a part of it.

After students sign up, University Communications will reach out when a photo shoot is scheduled. By signing up, students will not be guaranteed employment or obligated to participate. All student models will need to apply for verification of employment prior to the first photo shoot. Participating students will be paid for their time in photo shoots.

Parking permit fees unchanged; meters to increase

Parking fees will be unchanged for UNL permit holders and increase for some parking meter users.

Dan Carpenter, director of parking and transit services, said - pending approval by the University of Nebraska Board of Regents - the cost of faculty, staff and student parking permits will remain at current rates for the 2013-14 academic year. However, the cost to park at a meter on City Campus will increase to $1 per hour for the majority of metered spaces and to $1.25 per hour for three high demand areas. Meter fees on East Campus will remain unchanged. Read more about parking fees in Today@UNL.

UNL.edu now formatted for all devices

responsive design

The Internet and Interactive Media group of University Communications and Information Services has concluded the first phase in its effort to provide full support to all devices - desktops, laptops, smartphones and tablets - by implementing a suite of web technologies collectively known as 'responsive design.' Recently, the internal and external homepages were re-launched as 'responsive' designs.

You can see the effects of responsive design in your desktop browser by simply re-sizing your browser window (the page will reformat as the window is narrowed), or by viewing on your tablet or smartphone. Please use the 'feedback' links at the bottom of the page if you would like to let us know of any issues. Thank you.
