4-H youth ages 8 and up are invited to a “Design My Place” workshop to engineer and construct a woven paper basket using recycled newspapers and wire on Saturday, Nov. 7 (date is confirmed) from 9 a.m.–12 noon at the Lancaster Extension Education Center, 444 Cherrycreek Road, Lincoln. No cost to attend. Learn paper weaving techniques to make a home décor basket. Adults are encouraged to attend to help, especially if their child is 8 or 9 years old. Register by Monday, Nov. 2 by calling 402-441-7180 or emailing kristin.geisert@unl.edu. Bring a needle nose wire cutter for cutting wire. All other supplies will be provided.
