Nebraska Extension and the City of Lincoln Libraries have partnered together to create 4-H STEM Reading Connections bags available now for checkout at all Lincoln library branches (except Williams). The Nebraska 4-H STEM Reading Connections Program provides books, guided questions, and expanded learning resources to support literacy development, enhance relationships, and to make a connection with your local library.

This year’s theme is Tales of Tails. Unearth the amazing world of animal habitats! Children are naturally curious about nature and science. Discover how you can foster an appreciation for animals and their homes. There are four theme bags, each focusing on one of the following books:
• Big Red Barn by Margaret Wise Brown
• Owl Babies by Martin Waddell
• Not Norman: A Goldfish Story by Kelly Bennet
• I Don’t Want to be a Frog by Dev Petty
