As part of the national Quilts of Valor program, 4-H'ers completed four patriotic quilts this past year to be given to veterans who have been touched by war either physically or mentally. After being showcased at the Super Fair, the quilts are ready to be awarded this fall and we are looking for local veterans to be nominated who would enjoy receiving one of these quilts from Lancaster County 4-H. If you have someone in mind, please call the office at 402-441-7180 or email Kristin at kristin.geisert@unl.edu by Friday, October 1. Provide your name, phone number and why you think the veteran qualifies to receive a quilt.
