What better way is there to spend winter break than by taking a Galactic Quest? All youth ages 8–14 are invited to explore the mysteries of space exploration at a Galactic Quest workshop on Monday, Jan. 3, 1–4 p.m. at the Nebraska Extension in Lancaster County conference rooms, 444 Cherrycreek Road, Lincoln. No cost.

Honor students from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln will lead fun, hands-on activities focused on the history of humans in space, the technology and resources needed for missions, and the obstacles humans encounter in orbit. We’ll even explore STEM topics like physics, engineering, computer science and space agriculture.

Sign up by Jan. 1 at https://go.unl.edu/4-hstemgalacticquest. Workshop is limited to 25 youth, so don’t wait to register! Snacks will be provided but bring a water bottle or drink. If you have questions, contact Calvin DeVries at 402-441-7180.
