The Nebraska State Fair and Nebraska 4-H are excited to offer new 4-H Cattle and Goat Fitting Contests in 2023 on Saturday, Aug. 26, at 7 p.m. in the Five Points Bank Arena at Fonner Park in Grand Island. 4-H exhibitors with eligible 4-H livestock entries at the 2023 Nebraska State Fair are eligible to form teams to participate.
For the Goat Fitting Contest, teams must be comprised of two members and have at least one member age 9–13. For the Beef Fitting Contest, teams must be comprised of three members and have at least one member age 9–13.
Each team member must be from the same or adjacent county to complete a team. Complete contest regulations and rules can be found at https://4h.unl.edu/state-fair-fitting-contest.
