Cost: $40 per participant
This workshop is for students 10-16 years old who are interested in a career in Early Childhood Education. This all-day training will include:
- spending time in classrooms to see "a day in the life" of an early childhood teacher
- the stages of child development
- an introduction to and hands-on experiences related to the Nebraska Early Learning Guidelines for young children
- exploring various career opportunities in Early Childhood Education
Register and pay at least one week in advance to reserve a spot. Deadline to register is Monday, June 17. Space is limited, so register early. Payment may be made by calling 402-441-7180 with a credit/debit card (small additional fee), or mailing/bringing a check (payable to Lancaster County Extension) or cash to Nebraska Extension in Lancaster County, 444 Cherrycreek Road, Suite A, Lincoln NE 68528. Office hours are Monday–Friday, 8 a.m.–4:30 p.m.
