Nebraska Extension in Garfield, Loup & Wheeler counties is hosting a 4‑H Horse Judging Clinic and Contest at the Pitzer Ranch in Ericson, Neb. on Wednesday, May 28. Registrations will be taken day‑of and are $10 per participant.
Club and county teams will consist of 3–4 individuals with top three scores. Teams should form before registration. Register with your team once; team members will automatically be entered as individuals as well. No team? No problem — individual registrations are welcome! Age divisions are Juniors, 8–11 years of age, and Seniors, 12–18 years of age.
The event will focus on halter classes in 2025. To better suit 4‑H'ers in search of learning opportunities, the morning will include a practice clinic, followed by the competition in the afternoon.
Schedule:
8:30 a.m. — Registration ($10 per person)
9:00 a.m. — Welcome & Orientation
9:15 a.m. — Practice Halter Classes
Lunch — Available on Grounds
1:00 p.m. — Competition Halter Classes
3:00 p.m. — Presentation of Awards
