A Nebraska 4‑H Shooting Sports Leader Update Session is scheduled for August in Geneva, Neb. It will be held on Sunday, Aug. 16. from 9 a.m. to noon at the Fillmore County Fairgrounds. The early bird deadline to register for the Update training is Wednesday, Aug. 6.
This session is focused on refreshing and rejuvenating current instructors and providing any recent state 4‑H policy and curriculum changes that may impact on our program. Individuals who were certified in 2018 or 2019 must attend to keep their discipline certification. This is a required update for existing instructors, NOT training for new instructors. You MUST be a currently enrolled Nebraska 4‑H Shooting Sports volunteer leader in your county to attend.
Four disciplines will be offered for the morning session including archery, rifle, pistol and shotgun sessions. Registration is at 8:30 a.m. and the program starts at 9 a.m. Lunch is provided at noon. There is a minimum number of participants required to offer this discipline session. Participants will learn under expert instruction from members of the Nebraska State 4‑H Shooting Sports Training Team.
Registration fee must be paid by Aug. 11. Early bird registration due by Aug. 6 is $45 for the session. Late registration fee, after Aug. 6, is $65. Fee includes materials and lunch for the Update session. It does not include lodging.
