NEW IN 4-H AT THE LANCASTER COUNTY SUPER FAIR
See the Fair Book for detailed information about each of the following new classes:
• Fashion Show: New classes for garment(s) made for another person
• Presentations Contest: New classes for specified special topics, including Nebraska Agriculture Food Preparation
• Celebrate Nebraska’s Statehood: special county exhibit to commemorate the 150 year celebration of Nebraska’s statehood. May include, but not limited to, a poster, foam-core board, scrapbook or photo display. Individual or club exhibit.
• Communications (replaces Express Yourself): all new classes based on the new curriculum, Communications. Level 1-Picking Up The Pieces classes remain.
• Photography: All new data tags. Some new classes in Unit II & III. Nebraska exhibit prints should reflect your definition of rural Nebraska.
• Clothing: New additional classes based on the new curriculum, Makers Guide
• Home Environment: Sketchbook Crossroads new class for art exhibit showing how art can define a sense of place or life in Nebraska.
• Aerospace: Reports now require statistics, objectives learned and conclusions.
• Computers: New poster classes in Unit 1 & 2. “How to STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) Presentation” replaces “Know How Know Now Computer Presentation.”
• Dairy Cattle: Show moved to 8:30 a.m. (instead of 8 a.m.) on Sunday
• Dairy Goat: Show moved to 9 a.m. (instead of 8 a.m.) on Sunday
• Meat Goat: Check-in moved to Wednesday, 7–8 p.m. (instead of Thursday, 8–9 a.m.), Show moved to 2 p.m. (instead of 4 p.m.) on Thursday.
• Sheep: Check-in moved to Wednesday, 7–8 p.m. (instead of Thursday, 8–9 a.m.), Show will be 10 minutes after completion of Meat Goat Show which is now two hours earlier on Thursday.
• Dog: Costume and Creative Kennel Contest themes are anything Disney-related.
• Cat: A written quiz replaces the quiz bowl. Cat Costume Contest added.
• Household Pets: Animal bingo replaces the quiz bowl.
• Horse Hunter: Equitation division now has four classes with rails at 18", 2', 2'3" and 2'6".
• Miniature Horse: Timed Cones added.
• Western Horse: Ranch Horse Pleasure Horses is now called Ranch Riding

FAIR BOOK CLARIFICATION
• Presentations Contest: Illustrated Presentation should say, “The State Fair top six outstanding presenters will be given a $50 cash award.” Cash awards are not given at the county level.
