A 4-H Poultry Judging Clinic will be held on Saturday, April 21, 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at the Animal Science Building on UNL East Campus. Cost is $10. Registration deadline is April 13. The judging manual may be purchased from the Extension office or at the clinic for $8.

Kiwanis Karnival will be held Friday, April 13, 5:30–7:30 p.m. at Elliott Elementary School, 225 S. 25th St., Lincoln. The Karnival features carnival type games for the kids, bingo for adults, prizes, snacks, fun and fellowship. Lincoln Center Kiwanis has sponsored this event for over 50 years — providing prizes and snacks. Come join the fun!
Pawsitive Pups is a new 4-H club devoted to dogs. Renae Jacox is a past 4-H member and avid dog enthusiast, she is eager to get the club going. The Nebraska Agricultural Youth Institute (NAYI) is a weeklong experience for high school juniors and seniors from all across Nebraska to learn about career opportunities within agriculture. The Institute will be held July 9–13, at UNL East Campus. Deadline to apply is April 15.

This April, as part of True Leaders in Service and National Volunteer Appreciation Month, 4‑H’ers across the nation will pledge their hands to larger service. Local 4-H clubs and youth are encouraged to register their community service projects during April.
