“The Laser Lab,” presented by laser technicians and graduate students from the Extreme Light Lab (ELL) at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, will help visitors learn more about the nature of light and laser technology on Sunday, Nov. 18 from 12:30 - 4:30 p.m. at Morrill Hall.

Children and families will learn what light is and how it is used in the world today, plus how lasers work and how they are used in all areas of life. Children will have an opportunity to participate in fun and interactive demonstrations to learn and see why the sky is blue, why sunsets are red, how light bends, refracts, and scatters. Children will further learn how light and mirrors can be used to create an infinite box, a few “how to build your own” experiments with light and learn about the future of laser technology.

Regular museum admission. Members attend for free.
