If you are hosting your own live virtual experience that you would like offer to a statewide audience, you're invited to recommend that event to the statewide Nebraska 4-H event calendar (https://events.unl.edu/4h). By getting your event on the statewide calendar, your event may be listed on the 4h.unl.edu homepage and shared with a larger audience. By recommending events from your own UNL event calendar, you will be able to maintain control of event details. Any changes you make to the event on your own UNL event calendar will be automatically made to the event on the statewide Nebraska 4-H calendar, as well.
First, ensure the event is:
- Open and available to youth across the state.
- A Nebraska Extension 4-H event.
You'll need to add the event to your own UNL county event calendar. When creating the event, be sure to provide adequate details:
- Title
- Event description, including target age, registration and eligibility requirements, and curriculum/project focus area (if applicable)
- Contact info, including name, email, phone, and event website (if applicable).
- Start and end date and time
For a step-by-step guide to recommending events, please watch our brief tutorial video available at https://unl.box.com/s/wacux239qkc8exdbhwkjzqo6pz2nrm5v.
Please note that the event will need to be approved before it shows up on the Nebraska 4-H event calendar. So, there may be a short delay before it goes live.
