4-H Green Team Building Host Volunteer Opportunities - Nebraska State Fair

Green Team Building Hosts play an important role in supporting 4-H youth at the Nebraska State Fair! Please consider serving in this role. Gate passes and meal vouchers are provided for all volunteers serving in this role.

Wondering what you would be doing this role? Check out the role description below:
- Greet the public as they enter the building.
- Utilize the maps and information provided to answer general questions.
- Specific maps for the 4-H exhibit building will be provided and will likely be a common question for those entering the building.
- Water the floriculture and horticulture plants as necessary. Watering cans are provided.
- Regularly walk through the exhibits and make sure everything looks tidy. - Please remove trash or other items mistakenly left on the displays.
- If needed, show guests how to access the app/use the iPads to access the app to check results. See instructions inside of the Green Team folder at the information table.
- Depending on when your shift is scheduled, you may be asked to complete some additional tasks such as counting ribbons or look for exhibits in the building that we are missing a ribbon placing for. Dawn Lindsley will be the contact for any additional tasks of this nature.
- Please walk through the foods and horticulture department and look for exhibits that have reached their expiration, particularly during the latter half of the fair.
