A New 2019 Animal Science Opportunity for Staff and Leaders

Nebraska 4-H is a key partner in a CSTE/CDC Influenza Education Grant for the State of Nebraska. We would like to invite staff and leaders to a face to face training which will be interactive including some great activities you can take home to your county and club to enhance your animal science education. Participants will:
· Learn the importance of educating youth on zoonotic disease risk.
· Encourage youth to adopt healthy behaviors.
· Learn more about careers in animal health.
· Hands on training for ‘Mucus Swap’ and ‘Mutation Nation;’ Those attending will receive supplies to teach these lessons!
· A brainstorming activity to enhance the bio-security at your Fair and protect the public from any illnesses from animals.
· Training materials: Age groups 7 – 12 and 13 – 18 years old
· A brief overview of the Animals Inside & Out curriculum and how it can be delivered at camp, afterschool, school enrichment, or club meetings.

We hope you will plan to join us at one of the meetings to update yourself on youth programming in the Animal Science area. All trainings will be 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. lunch provided.
