The 2026 application cycle for the Moore Undergraduate Research Apprentice Program (MURAP) is open and accepting applications. MURAP is a nationally recognized summer research program based at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, housed under the Sonja Haynes Stone Center for Research Sonja Haynes Stone Center for Research in Black Culture and History. It is designed to prepare undergraduates for doctoral study in the humanities, social sciences, and fine arts. Participants engage in graduate-level research, benefit from faculty mentorship, take part in academic development seminars, and build valuable networks and community with peers and faculty.
The application for MURAP is now available and will remain open until January 30, 2026.
