Dial "7" to reach a research/extension facility

Effective January 14, personnel from the Lincoln campus can dial 7, followed by the extension phone number, to reach colleagues at university research/extension facilities. The new prefix accommodates the addition of the Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture (NCTA) at Curtis, Nebraska.

(Example 7-1234)

The 7 prefix will be used to reach the following locations:

Agricultural Research and Development Center (ARDC) near Mead, Nebraska
Haskell Agricultural Laboratory at Concord, Nebraska
Northeast Research and Extension Center at Norfolk, Nebraska
West Central Research and Extension Center at North Platte, Nebraska
Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture at Curtis, Nebraska (future)
UNL Extension Office in Dawson County (Lexington, Nebraska)
UNL Extension Office in Phelps County (Holdrege, Nebraska)

To dial a research/extension facility from another research/extension facility, you no longer need to dial "5". Simply dial the last 4 digits of the station number of the person you wish to call. Note: when the network access code is changed, dialing "7" and the last 4 digits will also work.

The network access code change to 7 will occur end of business day, January 13, 2012.
