The Capital Humane Society was established in 1902 and “serves the community by sheltering unwanted pets, acts as an advocate for animal welfare and strives to educate the public about responsible pet care”. During October, UAAD is hosting a donation drive, encouraging its members to support the welfare of local animals. Whether it is gathering up any empty shoe or shirt boxes from your home or providing small items such as paper towels, lint brushes, or trash bags, small and easy gestures can go a long ways.
Donations may be dropped off, on or before Friday, October 28th, at the following locations: 1901 Y Street, Room 105; 103 Ag Hall and 314 Canfield.
