We are three weeks into the fall semester and I am sure most of you have established a fast paced routine with a full schedule of activity. The University Association of Administrative Development is ready to kick of the fall semester as well, with the first General Meeting being held on Wednesday, September 20 at the newly opened Hawks Hall. We will start with a networking time, followed by a short business meeting. We will then have the opportunity to tour the College of Business. I would encourage all members to attend the first meeting of the academic year as there are many items on the horizon that may impact staff at the University of Nebraska.
As your UAAD President, I had the opportunity to attend breakfast, hosted by President Hank Bounds and the chairman of the Board of Regents, Mr. Bob Whitehouse. The focus at the meeting was a dialogue with Dr. Marjorie Kostelnik,, Sr. Associate to the President, and the other campus representatives for staff and faculty regarding the Budget Response Teams. Dr. Kostelnik will be attending our October General Meeting. UAAD members will have the opportunity to hear an overview of the Budget Response Teams’ work, as well as interact with Dr. Kostelnik. Again, I would encourage all member to attend. Looking forward to seeing everyone on the 20th.
