A Message from President Tony Lazarowicz

As we approach the cold months of winter, I hope you will find ways to stay involved and venture out to meetings, professional development and networking opportunities. I always enjoy the opportunity to see colleagues at these events and I’m thankful to all of you who have made time to join us so far this year.

As we continue through the year, we are still looking for a few people to step into some roles. Currently the following leadership roles are available:
- Bylaws Chair – reviews the Bylaws and suggests appropriate changes. Helps provide context when there are questions that relate to bylaw issues.
- Programs Chair – Help with programming monthly general membership meetings (includes organizing speakers and securing locations)
- Representative for UAAD on the Parking Appeals Committee – This committee hears all parking and traffic violation appeals, regardless of the alleged violator's status or relationship to the University.

Thanks again for your participation in UAAD and have a great rest of the week!

Souper Bowl Lunch
Souper Bowl Lunch

Souper Bowl Lunch, February 1st

UAAD Connect committee (in partnership with UAAD Service and Outreach) is planning for a Souper Bowl Lunch on Friday, February 1, 11:30-1:30, at NET. There are two ways to participate!

A. Bring a soup! (admission free, but you don’t get to vote unless you pay $5.00)
1. Choose your team of chefs.
2. Decide on a winning soup recipe.
3. Declare a favorite charity to donate the winning cash prize to.

B. Come to eat and vote (admission $5.00, of which 100% will be donated to the top three charities of the top soup vote getters.)

There will be a sign up closer to the event for soup teams and participants to register. If you choose to cook and eat or just eat…plan to come for lunch and know your lunch money is going to help others.

UAAD will provide the table ware, drinks and prizes (both to the best chefs and their charities)!
