As I begin to wrap up my year as the president, I have come to learn a lot of things about myself, the university, and our organization. I have greatly enjoyed the opportunity to represent UAAD at the Chancellor’s Town Forums, participating in the N2025 Strategy Committee, and having a chance to interact with UNOPA leadership and campus leadership in a variety of ways. I think UAAD has a lot to offer our institution, and my hope is that we can continue to find ways to promote and grow the important value that UAAD provides the university community. That said, it takes work. We need more people to set up into leadership roles. I’d love to engage anyone who has been on the fence about being more active in UAAD and see how we can support you being able to take on a more active role in UAAD. At the same time, I want to say that I have greatly enjoyed working with our leadership team this year. While we had some openings on a few committees throughout the year, the leadership team has been great to work with. While I have one more message that I’ll share at the end of June, I truly hope we can all find ways to continue to expand on the opportunities we have to make UAAD one of the most meaningful organizations to be a part of at NEBRASKA. Thanks for being a member and please do not hesitate to reach out if you have any questions.

Responsibility Centered Management
Thanks to all of you who were able to participate in the joint meeting with UNOPA with the Vice Chancellor for Business and Finance, Bill Nunez. We realize that not everyone could make it, but did want to be sure to remind everyone of the website for the information concerning the new model: https://budget.unl.edu/responsibility-center-management. There is still time to provide feedback and information, so please review the website and provide any comments as you desire. We are grateful to Bill for taking time to have presented information to our groups in May.
