Message from the President - Lori Bennett Baumli
Hello UAAD members!
While it still definitely feels like summer, the start of classes is nearly upon us, many of the students are back on campus, and I know many of our offices are in the rush to get a successful year started. As we look toward the 2019-2020 academic year, the N150 celebration will continue, along with the 2025 planning that will chart UNL’s path for the five years. During this fall semester, the larger UNL community will have an opportunity to give feedback on the 2025 plan; additionally, we may try to schedule a discussion at a general membership meeting.
We’ll see some exciting things coming from UAAD this year, as well. We will be implementing Box Notes, which will give UAAD members the opportunity to give thoughts and pros/cons on issues that arise. We feel this is a good way to get members’ feedback between meetings without having official polls. I hope you’ll all look for the first one coming out soon!
I want to encourage you to contact Ranelle Maltas, 2019-20 Vice President/President-Elect, or myself for any issues that you would like UAAD to address or if you have an idea for a program idea for a general meeting.
