University Career Services is excited to introduce Holly Pham, Employer and Campus Relations Coordinator, who joined the Career Services Community last summer.

Holly’s role is designed to create and facilitate connections between employers and campus, including staff, faculty, and students. Advisors can consult with Holly on on creative ways to incorporate employers in curriculum and/or group activities. She can also provide in-depth detail about a specific employer, such as their culture, job and internship opportunities, and recruiting processes.

A recent example of Holly’s work led to an opportunity for students, staff, and faculty, to personally connect on campus with a federal employer. In this case, Holly connected the School of Criminology and Criminal Justice with a representative from the CIA to coordinate a meet-and-greet program. As she says, “What excites me is making those connections, providing students opportunities to meet face to face with people in the roles and organizations where they may want to work.” Other support Holly can offer Advisors include assistance using Handshake, UNL’s platform for student job listings and applications, and identifying employers and career opportunities in targeted disciplines

Holly is off to a strong start and looks forward to facilitating more campus-to-employer connections. Advisors interested in exploring ways to connect with employers can reach Holly at hpham10@unl.edu.
