A Career Meet-Up is different from a career fair. The focus is on learning about career paths of interest from professionals in those fields. Students can meet and connect with the professionals, but can be relaxed and casual as these professional are not at the Meet-Up to recruit students for their organization. They are sharing experiences, directions, and advice to students interested in the career pathways represented by each Career Meet-Up. Of course, making connections with professionals in fields of interested can be valuable as a student moves forward in their career development.

A Career Meet-Up can help undecided students make career decisions, which may be especially useful as they head into Priority Registration. Encourage your students to attend the Career Meet-Ups of interest by registering in handshake.
