EDAD Student Affairs Program Poster Session

EDAD Poster Sessions
EDAD Poster Sessions

There are students who may not know there are career opportunities in the Student Affairs program. Please come to our poster session on Thursday, May 2, 2024, from 4-5 p.m. at the Platte River Room in the Union to see topics students have researched related to legal issues impacting higher education and approaches to student development. Enjoy refreshments and chat with students and other professionals. Also, kindly encourage students to attend and talk with current students and become more aware of how a career in student affairs can position individuals to support college students in obtaining their degrees and pursuing their dreams.

Students in the master’s program learn approaches to advising students, planning programs, and developing policies through a deep exploration of current literature, applying theory to practical situations, and implementing solutions that account for the diversity of the student body and the importance of equity in education.

EDAD Student Affairs program is currently focusing on three main areas in the program: Scholarly Practice, Tools for the Futurity of Higher Education, and Recognizing Systems of Oppression in Self and the Institution.

We know that many who apply to the program do so because of influential people in their lives encouraging them, and also by attending the program’s information sessions. Some students are already working with college students on campus, but most of them are not aware that it is a career path they can pursue. Please encourage students to attend our poster session so that we will continue the legacy of successful professionals in student affairs.

For details about the program, kindly contact the Program’s Coordinator, Dr. Bondi (email: sbondi2@unl.edu) for more information.
