Navigating the twists and turns of college life can be both exhilarating and challenging. To help students stay on course, the Center for Academic Success and Transition (CAST) offers a team of trained Academic Success Coaches ready to provide personalized guidance and support throughout their academic journey.

Each student will engage in a meaningful, individualized conversation with a coach who is deeply invested in their success. During these sessions, students discuss academic goals, challenges, and areas for improvement.

Each coaching session is tailored to meet the specific needs of the student, ensuring that they receive relevant, actionable advice. Whether a student is aiming to improve study habits, balance coursework, or enhance their overall college experience, CAST coaches are equipped to provide the right support.

Common topics explored in coaching sessions include time management, effective study techniques, test preparation strategies, reading comprehension, and note-taking. Coaches also offer valuable insights into motivation, procrastination, and stress management, helping students maintain a balanced work-life approach and thrive during their time at UNL.

Students can easily schedule a coaching session through the Student Success Hub, visit the CAST office in Love Library Room 110, or call 402-472-1880. Coaching sessions are available Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., both in-person and via Zoom.
