Students considering law school but uncertain about where to get started with the application process should attend the Application Chat and Personal Statement Workshop hosted at the College of Business on Tuesday, November 12th at 2:00 pm. Admissions representatives from the College of Law will take attendees through an in-depth discussion of the process of applying to law school, covering everything from cost, timing, and content, to how to select which law school is a good fit. This is a good opportunity for students interested in learning more about the law school application process to get first-hand information and ask questions.
Students planning to apply in the next year, who’d like help getting started on their Personal Statements (a required part of the application) should bring a laptop or notebook and stay for the Personal Statement Workshop led by Assistant Dean Melissa McCoy. This 45-minute workshop helps applicants get past the initial hurdle of “what to write about” and the goal is for attendees to leave the workshop with a framework of a first draft completed.
The event will be held in Room 111 Hawks Hall from 2:00 to 3:15 on Tuesday, November 12th. Students should register here: https://law.unl.edu/college-business-application-chat/
Pre-law advising appointments will also be available with College of Law staff at the College of Business on Tuesday, November 19th between 11:30 am and 2:30 pm. Students may sign up here: https://outlook.office365.com/book/CollegeofBusinessAdvising@bookings.unl.edu/
