The Clifton Strengths Institute at the University of Nebraska Lincoln is now accepting applications for the Clifton Builders Program, a selective, strengths-based leadership development program designed for students who want to grow as leaders through applied, real-world learning.

The Clifton Builders Program is open to all first- and second-year students at UNL and is offered as either a major or a 12-credit-hour minor. Students develop leadership capacity by working in high-performing teams to address real-world challenges while strengthening skills in collaboration, communication, decision-making, and problem-solving. Through intentional application of CliftonStrengths®, participants build self-awareness and learn how to lead effectively within a team and organizational context.

This program is ideal for students who are motivated, curious, collaborative, and eager to develop their leadership identity while making a meaningful impact within the program and the broader community. Participants gain hands-on leadership development, professional skill-building, and increased confidence in their ability to influence, contribute, and lead with purpose.

Faculty and staff are encouraged to share this opportunity with students who demonstrate initiative, strong teamwork skills, and a commitment to leadership growth.

Applications are currently open.
