2020 Great Plains Conference: Student Participation Wanted! Due 3/16

Registration for the 2020 Great Plains Conference: Climate Change and Culture in the Great Plains is now open! Students are invited to submit at this event as part of the Climate Change Lightning Round: what does climate change mean to you?

We invite NU-system undergraduate and graduate students to apply to make a short presentation at our Great Plains conference on “Climate Change and Culture in the Great Plains”. We will select ten students to make back-to-back, quick presentations to help the audience understand how students from different majors, disciplines, and life experiences view climate change. Each student selected will give a 4-minute presentation on April 10 at 2:40 p.m. in the Lied Center for Performing Arts' Steinhart Room.

Students choose their own presentation style and content. It can be current research, classwork, personal experience, artistic interpretations, or another type of presentation. Students should feel free to use a creative format (video, powerpoint, speech, artwork, etc.)—just be prepared to be engaging and talk for 4 minutes at the absolute most. Students will be listed in the conference program and have the option to register for the rest of the conference at no cost. Each selected student presenter will be entered in a random drawing to win $100.

APPLY BY MARCH 16: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScwJOEIuDfGgqdDK7nXGCb2Flks9ovVYf-0vhfl7jSl0ADuhQ/viewform. Students will be notified by March 20 whether or not they have been selected.
