Thanks to funding from the Doris Lehr Lied Endowment Fund, Hixson-Lied College students receive complimentary ticket(s) to a Lied-sponsored event at the Lied Center for Performing Arts. The ticket redemption process is now fully online through the Lied Center website. Please read all of the following important information about the program before redeeming your discount code.
The Doris Lehr Lied Endowment Fund provides Hixson-Lied College of Fine and Performing Arts majors with complimentary tickets (up to $90 in value) to six Lied-sponsored events at the Lied Center for Performing Arts annually. This fall, students will receive three (3) complimentary tickets to fall events. Only students who have a major in the Hixson-Lied College of Fine and Performing Arts and who pay the University of Nebraska–Lincoln Fund A activity fee are eligible for this program. An additional code will be available in the spring to redeem for three additional complimentary tickets for events happening in the spring until the annual fund limit is reached.
Again this year, the Lied Center has implemented an online-only redemption process for the Doris Lehr student tickets. No phone or box office sales will be permitted.
Please visit this web page to learn more about the process before you begin redeeming your tickets: https://go.unl.edu/lehrtickets.
You will also find the link there that will embed the promo code necessary to redeem your free tickets. Select “UNL Student” when adding tickets to your cart to redeem the discount. Once you add the eligible tickets to your cart, you will be prompted to provide your NU ID number to verify eligibility for each student ticket you select. Once verified, you will be redirected to your cart where a gift certificate will be applied to cover the cost of the complimentary tickets. Three tickets may be redeemed per semester per student through the Lehr discount code. You can order your three tickets all at once or at different times. If the value of your ticket exceeds $90 or you purchase additional tickets to an event, you will need to pay the balance. Vouchers can’t be redeemed for the same performance and must be used for three distinct performances.
For the fall semester, events between Sept. 6, 2024, to Jan. 14, 2025, are eligible to redeem for your complimentary tickets. Some of the upcoming events this semester include “A House Divided,” a new play by Christina Kirk; Metro Jazz Quintet; The Midtown Men-Holiday Hits; and the musicals “Back to the Future,” “Dear Evan Hansen,” and “The Little Mermaid,” among many others. For a full listing of this semester’s events, visit: https://www.liedcenter.org/events-page
You may purchase additional tickets for yourself or guests in the same transaction. If your guest is a UNL student, enter multiple NU ID numbers to take advantage of applicable student discounts for everyone, including additional Lehr tickets.
For questions or technical issues redeeming your discount code, please contact the Lied Center Box Office at (402) 472-4747 or e-mail liedcustomerservice@unl.edu.
Also, please note that all UNL students receive free or half-price tickets to almost every performance coming to the Lied Center this year. Selected fall performances are FREE through the Arts for All program. Visit http://www.liedcenter.org/artsforall for more information and to reserve those tickets starting. Free events this semester include Step Afrika!, Preservation Hall Jazz Band, Carson Tonight, Capitol Fools, Yunchan Lim (Piano) and “Goodnight, Moon.”
Enjoy your complimentary performances from the Lehr Endowment. We hope you take advantage of this magnificent opportunity to see world-class events at the Lied Center this year.
