On Nov. 1 at 6 p.m., the Sheldon Museum of Art will host an interdisciplinary discussion during which University of Nebraska faculty Katrina Jagodinsky, Susan J. Rosowski Associate Professor of History; Sarah Karle, Associate Professor of Landscape Architecture; and Tom Lynch, Professor of English, will explore how landscape has been perceived, altered, and imagined in modern history.
From agricultural fields to urban environments, from national parks to industrial parks, humans inhabit and use the land in a multitude of ways. Sheldon’s exhibition, "Approaching Landscape," (https://sheldonartmuseum.org/exhibitions/approaching-landscape) investigates how land influences our understanding of identity, culture, and nature.
