The UNL Clay Club and UNL Fine Art Photo Club will each be holding their spring sales May 2-3 in Richards Hall.
The UNL Clay Club will hold its Spring Sale and Raffle in Richards Hall Rm. 118. Hours for the sale are Friday, May 2 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday, May 3 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The sales will include works of art created by graduate students, undergraduate students, alumni, and faculty representing a broad range of aesthetics, techniques and concepts.
In addition to the sale, there will be raffle of work donated by students, faculty, and alumni. Tickets for the raffles can be purchased on Friday or Saturday. The drawing will be held at 5 pm on Saturday; winners need not be present.
Proceeds from the sale will fund the Clay Club visiting artist program, and facilitate student attendance at annual professional conferences.
The hours for the UNL Fine Art Photo Club's sale are May 2-3 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day in Richards Hall Rm. 121.
The work from undergraduate and graduate students will showcase a variety of processes, subjects and styles and will include handmade and digitally produced photo books.
Raffle items will include prints by graduate students Amanda Breitbach, Chadric Devin and Allen Morris and books donated by Professor Dana Fritz. Raffle tickets are $1 each or six for $5. The drawing will be at 6 p.m. on May 3, but entrants need not be present to win.
Proceeds from the sale benefit the Fine Art Photo Club activities, which include visiting artists, conference travel and other club activities.
Richards Hall is located at Stadium Drive and T sts. on the UNL City Campus.
