UNL MFA students featured in new Lincoln gallery

The inaugural exhibiton for Lincoln's new Prescott Gallery is "Material Presence: Selections from the UNL MFA Program" and features a selection of artwork by University of Nebraska–Lincoln Master of Fine Arts graduate students. The exhibition showcases a variety of material investigations from the hand-worked to the digital by artists chosen as representative of the areas of concentration in the UNL MFA program. Each work in the show draws attention to materiality through form, subject, process, and – quite literally – the material used.

The exhibition opened Nov. 8 and continues through Jan. 30, 2015. Hours are by appointment.

Prescott Gallery is a new exhibition space dedicated to showcasing the artwork and interests of the University of Nebraska–Lincoln Department of Art and Art History and to serving as a connection point between students, faculty and the community.
