Upon semi-retiring in 1992, he managed Korff Holdings, a personal investment company. His philanthropy includes many projects at the University of Nebraska and in Lincoln, including an $8 million gift to the UNL School of Music, which has been renamed the Glenn Korff School of Music in his honor.

In addition, UNL music alumnus Ed Love will receive the Legacy of the Arts Award. Love is the music director for the Nebraska Jazz Orchestra.
