• Aug. 21-Sept. 15: 2nd Year MFA Exhibition. Eisentrager-Howard Gallery in Richards Hall. A reception will be held Friday, Sept. 1 from 5-7 p.m. in the gallery.

• Aug. 30: Hixson-Lied Visiting Artist Kris Kuksi Lecture. 5:30 p.m. Richards Hall Rm. 15. Free and open to the public. Kuksi builds intricate worlds out of model train kits, army men, jewelry, rocks, religious souvenirs, figurines and ornamental objects sourced from all over the world. Each of the assemblages host endless baroque and macabre narratives, reminiscent of lost civilizations, classical sculpture, and fantastic realism.

• Sept. 6: Hixson-Lied Visiting Artist William Cordova Lecture. 5:30 p.m. Richards Hall Rm. 15. Free and open to the public. Graphic Designer Cordova’s practice is focused on reconciling ideas of displacement and transition through ephemeral residue and vernacular architecture that continually shifts, shaping what could be described as our contemporary situation.

• Sept. 7: Glenn Korff Day. 3:30 p.m. Kimball Recital Hall. Free and open to the public. The Glenn Korff Day program will feature
performances by our Korff Scholars and members of our faculty—this year that includes dancer Kennedy Rolfes and saxophonist Andrew Janak.

• Sept. 9: "Journeys End in Lovers Meeting: JCSTF at Shakespeare's Globe." 7:30 p.m. Studio Theatre, first floor of the Temple Building. Free and open to the public (donations appreciated). Get a behind-the-scenes look at the work created by Johnny Carson School of Theatre and Film students at Shakespeare's Globe Theatre in London this summer.

• Sept. 13: Hixson-Lied Visiting Artist Rob Forbes Lecture. 5:30 p.m. Richards Hall Rm. 15. Free and open to the public. Forbes has been a ceramic artist, professor, author, publisher, photographer and business entrepreneur. He is best known as the Founder of Design Within Reach (DWR) and PUBLIC Bikes.

• Sept. 13: Chiara String Quartet. 7:30 p.m. Kimball Recital Hall. Tickets are $20 adults, $10 seniors and $5 students. For advance ticket sales, contact the Lied Center Box Office at (402) 472-4747. The concerts are also part of the Hixson-Lied Concert Series. Purchase a ticket for any three concerts for $50 adults, $25 seniors and $10 students. • Sept. 20: Hixson-Lied Visiting Artist Sukha Worob Lecture. 5:30 p.m. Richards Hall Rm. 15. Free and open to the public. Worob grew up in a small community in the high desert landscape of Prescott, Arizona. He obtained his MFA in Printmaking from Montana State University, and M. Ed in Curriculum and Instruction from Montana State University. Worob’s work explores contemporary approaches to the printmaking multiple through works on paper as well as installation and interactive works.

• Sept. 25-Oct. 20: Nebraska National Undergraduate Juried Art Exhibition. Eisentrager-Howard Gallery in Richards Hall. The exhibition will feature the work of the best undergraduate student artists from across the country. A reception will be held on Friday, Oct. 6 from 5-7 p.m. in the gallery.
