May 15, 2017
University of Michigan in Ann Arbor

The symposium, sponsored by the NSF-supported Midwest Big Data Hub, will bring together experts in the increasingly powerful tools of Big Data (e.g., visualization, machine learning, statistical models, integration of heterogeneous data, data scrubbing, privacy, and security) with researchers focused on the next generation of transportation.

The symposium will be an opportunity for cross-fertilization and creation of new research collaborations between institutions and domains. The morning will consist of a series of presentations providing an overview of research under way in the Midwest. The afternoon will have workshops, tutorials, posters, tours, and breakout sessions.

The event will also include a poster sessions at which students can share their research. Please feel free to invite any colleagues who may wish to participate in the symposium.

A limited amount of funding is available to support student travel.
