Wei-zhen Liang has been hired as a research assistant professor beginning April 1, 2021. Wei-zhen received her PhD in Agricultural and Biological Engineering from Purdue University in 2015 and has been a post-doctoral research associate at PHREC in Scottsbluff. Her position is in support of IANR research. She will be located at the PHREC in Scottsbluff.
The department was saddened to learn of the passing of James Gilley. He passed away on April 7, 2021. Memorial arrangements are pending. Dr. Gilley was a significant contributor to the legacy and culture of BSE. We join other friends and his family in remembering Jim and his contributions.
