Mark Riley, Department Head for Biological Systems Engineering, will soon be the Associate Dean for Research at the College of Engineering. His position will begin July 1, 2017.
As Dean Lance Perez said in a recent email, "Mark has a distinguished record as a faculty member and is completing a very successful five year term as the Head of the Department of Biological Systems Engineering. I am very pleased that he will be joining my leadership team..."
In a message sent to BSE faculty and staff, Dr. Riley stated, "The position of Associate Dean for Research is a role that has interested me for some time and I believe that I can make a positive impact on our institution. I am excited by the opportunity...I would like to take this opportunity to thank every one of you for your support and all of our constituents and partners. This is an amazing unit because of the people and our shared commitment to success."
An interim department head will be announced by Dr. Mike Boehm and Dr. Ron Yoder soon.
