Student and Alumni Achievements

During the 19th annual CASNR Week celebration several outstanding faculty, staff, and students were recognized at the Steve and Jessie Waller Awards luncheon Friday, March 8.

Student recipients and awards won:

Winner, Jordan Bothern, as part of Mechanized Systems Management Club, and nominee Jonah Bolin for the Outstanding Undergraduate Student Organization Officer. The award recognizes the talents and guidance of an officer of an undergraduate or graduate organization.

Winner, Sam Hansen, as part of Soil and Water Resources Club, for the Outstanding Graduate Student Organization Officer. The award recognizes an outstanding member of a graduate organization.

Winner, Olivia Bures for the Outstanding Undergraduate Teaching Assistant, in assisting AGEN/BSEN 100 instructors. The award recognizes teaching assistants who have been an asset to their respective teachers and have shown a commitment to students.

10 Huskers were honored as inaugural Student Luminaries. Of those 10 students was Biological Systems Engineering, Kai Meacham. The Student Luminary Awards shine a light on exceptional students who make a difference through their leadership and commitment to improving the campus or community. The Student Luminary Awards replace the Outstanding Student Leadership Awards, making this distinction one of the highest honors presented to students. View all winners
