Job Title: IT Specialist

Description of Work:
This position will support computing activities covering a range of academic and administrative areas at the Center on Children, Families and the Law (CCFL) and the Public Policy Center (PPC). This includes needs analysis, recommendations, and support of hardware and software, coordination of projects, support and management, and liaison activities for all client service related issues.

Minimum Required Qualifications
Associate’s degree plus (3) years IT experience including providing end-user support (desktop and networked servers) in a large computing environment; equivalent education/experience will be considered. Demonstrated experience with desktop/application virtualization technologies; familiarity with the configuration and deployment of Windows software and OS in large computing and networked environment; excellent communication skills; ability to manage sensitive data; knowledge of customer service practices; and project management experience.
US citizenship is required due to national security and access to sensitive data sets.

Preferred Qualifications
Ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree. Familiarity with Mac OS X and Linux. Demonstrated experience with audio-visual equipment and troubleshooting video conferences.
