"Experiencing the places that took my breath away happened every day during a trip I took through Croatia and Montenegro nine years ago. If you have never heard of the Plitvice Lakes National Park in Croatia, I encourage you to check it out. It is a series of connected, small pristine lakes in a canyon with waterfalls in between, and you walk alongside the lakes and across the falls on boardwalks.
