Whenever you find yourself on campus for a meeting, you may notice a few cats nearby; but not as many as you would have seen years before. Husker Cats is a group of UNL faculty, staff and student volunteers that work together to provide a high quality of life for these creatures while stabilizing their population with a trap-neuter/spay-release program. One of our own CCFLers, Angela Gebhardt, is a part of this wonderful organization and has fostered a number of kittens from feral colonies at UNL’s campus.
