What has been your greatest source of career satisfaction/proudest achievement?
Being invited to join The National Society of Leadership and Success, Tau Sigma (an honor roll society for transfer students), Alpha Lambda Delta, Phi Eta Sigma, and making the Dean’s List all in my first semester at UNL would be what I am most proud of.

Where do you hope to be in five years?
In the next three to four years, I hope to have completed my Masters in Accounting and have my CPA as well. After completing my education, I would like to start my career outside of Nebraska because I have lived here my entire life; and I would like to venture from home. I haven’t decided who I would like to work for, but I am interested in audit work: both internal and external.

Who are your early influences/who inspired you the most?
As a child, I was inspired by stories of the underdog. Whether it was a fictional story like Rocky or a real story like the Miracle on Ice, I found myself fascinated by the perseverance the individuals in all these stories showed.

What has been an unexpected detour/greatest frustration/disappointment?
Choosing to work instead of pursuing my education ended up being a longer detour than I initially anticipated. However, I firmly believe that we all have our own paths and that there were life lessons I needed to learn to fully appreciate the effort and amount of work that a university was going to expect from me.

The quotation I live my life by is:
“Go confidently in the direction of your dreams. Live the life you have imagined”. –Henry David Thoreau
