Here is a little run down of all the printers/copiers here at CCFL. As most already know, they are named after the Brady Bunch.
Mike: Mike is located in the Copier Room on 10th Floor. You will want to use it for larger print jobs. It is the only copier that can print tabs for binders. It also has the capability to staple and 3-hole punch when the settings are selected. If the hole-punch tray becomes full, please dump it in the provided bag or box that is located on the side of Mike as Recycling Enterprise isn’t too happy when these little pieces are dumped into their bins. Drawers 1 and 2 have letter-size paper. Drawer 3 has tab paper, and Drawer 4 has yellow paper installed for trainer material copies.
Alice: Alice is located in the Kitchen on 10th Floor. It only has the capability to staple. Drawers 1 and 2 have letter-size paper. Drawer 3 has legal paper, and Drawer 4 has 11 x 17 size paper. When selecting a different paper size to print on, be sure to change the page size by the following steps: Print>Printer Properties>Page Setup> Page Size. In addition, you have to choose the correct drawer under the Paper Source tab.
Carol: Carol is located by the training rooms on 10th Floor. You cannot staple or 3-hole punch on this machine. Drawers 1 and 2 have letter-size paper. Drawer 3 has legal paper, and Drawer 4 has 11 x 17 size paper. When selecting a different paper size to print on, be sure to follow the same steps as described in the Alice section.
Greg: Greg is located on 9th Floor. It only has the capability to staple. Drawers 1 and 2 have letter-size paper. Drawer 3 has legal paper, and Drawer 4 has 11 x 17 size paper. When selecting a different paper size to print on, be sure to follow the same steps as previously outlined for Alice and Carol.
Marcia: Marcia (known by another nickname for those who print on it often) is located in the Kitchen on 10th Floor. It is our only color printer at CCFL. If she is having a good day, she can print double-sided as well. When printing a lot of documents, she tends to jam quite often. I would recommend selecting the MP Tray in your print settings as she tends to jam less often from there. Otherwise, you just have to have the right amount of paper (not too much, not too little) in the drawer.
Jan: Jan is a small printer located outside of Barb’s office. Nothing too special about it, but it is close for those nearby who don’t want to walk the distance to another.
Toners and staples are kept on top of the shelves of the colored paper in the Copier Room. The old toners are placed in the new one’s box and sent with Campus Mail for recycling. Report any issues with the copiers to Stacie. If she can’t solve the problem, she will contact Canon for a service request.
