Where do you hail from:
Born and raised in Omaha, NE - with a lot of time spent on the farm in Rising City, NE

What is it they say you do:
I currently split my time between Nebraska’s IV-E Waiver evaluation and the Quality Improvement Center for Workforce Development (QIC-WD). I am a Workforce Specialist for the QIC-WD working with two project sites-Oklahoma and the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians. I spend my time analyzing data, summarizing results, keeping up on workforce research and best practices, and working with my sites to select and install workforce interventions.

What has been your greatest source of career satisfaction/ proudest achievement:
I am really excited to be involved with the QIC-WD project-we are just beginning work with our sites and it really is an exciting time. I’m really looking forward to working with these agencies, tackling some important problems, and making a real difference in the way they do their work and the resulting outcomes. The project has been such a learning opportunity for me already and I am very grateful to be a part of it!

What is your passion/what you are drawn to/what motivates you/where do you hope to be in five years:
I am passionate about helping agencies to solve critical personnel problems and operate more strategically and effectively, providing a better experience for their employees and the clientele they serve. I hope to be doing this in five years!

Family life/hobbies /community involvement:
My partner, Manny, and I have been together for 8 years. We have two dogs-a golden retriever, Duke, and an Australian shepherd/rat terrier mix, Nani, and a cat, Puma. I enjoy traveling and experiencing new places, foods & restaurants, finding new TV shows to get hooked on, exercising, and spending time with my pets, family, and friends. I’ve also recently taken up crocheting.

The quotation I live my life by is......
“Every moment is a new beginning” and “Today I choose happiness”
