This week’s Word on the Street question was:
When was the last time you went sledding?
Has to be back when I was in high school, in the 80’s…how sad! –Leslie Schlecht
Whenever we have a big snow, we go out sledding with the kids. Here is a picture of the triplet’s first sledding experience in Connecticut when they were one. –Katharina Stokes
Earlier in 2018…I go with the kids at least once a year. Everyone in Lincoln goes to Pioneers Park, we do that occasionally but Lincoln Southeast High School is our go-to spot. A perfect sized hill that you can sled down and the walk back up is fairly short so you can go over and over without getting too worn out. By the time this comes out…I hopefully will have gone over break. Hoping for snow and cold weather!! –Jill Knox
I loved sledding as a kid and did a LOT of it, but I’m not such a huge fan as an adult. The last time was probably 4 or 5 years ago with my daughter, who would also probably prefer to be indoors if given the choice now. For anyone in Lincoln looking for a good spot, it was at the northwest corner of 40th & Old Cheney, next to the strip mall. –Megan Paul
A long time ago when I was in the 3rd grade. –Cassandra Roberts
